If you couldn't guess I'm a huge horse racing fan. I'm a big believer that it is definitely possible to beat the races. No you may not strike it rich, but you can come out ahead in the long run and have a helluva time in the process. I have been playing this game for 28 some years. It has been full of ups ( $16019.00 Superfecta @ CD BC TURF 2006 ) and downs ( 2004 Lanes End Stakes - Wheeled Birdstone instead of Sinister G missed $50,000 Superfecta by one horse ). Over the years I have learned that your Handicapping is only as good as your data used to handicap from. Currently I believe Brisnet and Thorograph have the best products on the market. I personally rely on Bris speed, Thoro patterns and Trainer/Jockey Combos as well as Trainer Stats. These past few months I have been leaning more on Combo's and Trainer Stats of the Top Bris speed and TG horse's. In the coming months as we start our annual Roads, First to the Ky Derby then onward to Breeder's Cup, I will be posting my picks for the Bris race of the day, TG race of the week, and of course the races making up the Road to the Kentucky Derby. yum yum !!

ReplyDeleteIt is great to meet another true horse racing fan! It sounds like you have quite the system. I can't wait to see your picks for the upcoming TC races. I am coming to the Derby this year for my very first time. It means a lot to me, as my mother was from Grassy Creek, KY, not too far from Louisville. We had a family farm there for generations, though now it is sold. Congratulations on your remission and I wish all the best in the coming year!
